How the Gate Works

On your first visit a screen asks you to confirm you're 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that's higher. It's self-certification: no ID upload, no face scan, no third-party check. Once you confirm, one value is stored in your browser's localStorage so the gate doesn't return; clearing site data, switching browser or using a private window brings it back.

Two Separate Age Checks

Regional Rules

Where the age of majority is higher than 18, the higher age applies. Where local law requires stronger verification for adult sites, that law applies to you whatever this site does technically; the self-certification gate is the only check on this site's side.

Parents and Educators

This site isn't a resource for under-18s. For background on teens and AI companions, Common Sense Media and Australia's eSafety Commissioner are better starting points. To block adult sites on a home network, a network-level content filter is more reliable than any self-certification screen.
