curtisvisionone.co.nz is a reading site: no accounts, no comments, no sign-up forms. This page covers the small amount of data that still moves when you visit, and your rights over it.

The Short Version

The site doesn't ask for your name, email or any account details, because there's nothing to sign up for. The web server records standard request data. One value is stored in your own browser to remember the age gate. Fonts load from Google, and some buttons pass through an affiliate redirect. That's the full list.

Server Logs

Each request to the site creates a standard server log line: IP address, the page requested, referrer, browser user-agent and time. These logs are used for security and to fix performance problems, are kept only as long as that needs, and aren't sold or shared beyond the hosting provider.

What's Stored in Your Browser

When you pass the age gate, the site stores one value in your browser's localStorage, under the key cvo_age_ok, so the gate doesn't come back on every visit. It records only that you confirmed you're 18 or over. Clearing site data, switching browser or using a private window resets it. The site itself sets no cookies.

Third-Party Services

Google Fonts serves the site's typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so loading a page sends your IP address and browser details to Google under Google's privacy policy.

Buttons marked as affiliate links go through a redirect on this site to the platform you chose; the affiliate network or platform may set its own cookies once you arrive, under its own policy. The site doesn't run analytics or advertising scripts at the moment; if that changes, this page changes first.

What the Site Doesn't Do

• No selling or renting of data.

Your Rights

Under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 you can ask an agency for access to personal information it holds about you and ask for it to be corrected; the GDPR, UK GDPR and similar laws give readers elsewhere comparable rights. Because this site holds nothing tied to a named person, most requests have nothing to return, but questions about server-log data can go to the contact below.
